Mike and Gay were born and raised in Abilene, Texas. He a McMurry Indian, she a Hardin-Simmons Cowgirl; both Wylie Bulldogs. They have three children, one son-in-law, one grandson and one granddaughter.
Mike has served on numerous boards and committees with the local home builder association, the City of Abilene and the View Caps Water Supply Corp. In 1999, Mike was named Builder of the Year for the Big Country Home Builders Association and served as its president in 2002. Both are active in the Wylie Community and Wylie Baptist Church.
